Phnom Penh, 05 January 2021: Hattha Bank, one of the leading banks in Cambodia, has signed a memorandum of understanding with CS Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. to providing agriculture loan to support farmers as well as for Cambodia's agricultural development.
The signing ceremony was held at the office of Hattha Bank, on January 05, 2021, participated by Oknha HOUT Ieng Tong, President and CEO of Hattha Bank and Mr. HOUR Sreng, Founder and CEO of CS Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. as well as the management of both institutions.
Oknha HOUT Ieng Tong said, “As a leading bank that love to offers most wanted financial solutions, this collaboration is a new dedication to the contribution of agricultural development and Cambodian farmers increase the capacity, skill, knowledge and use of modern technology to grow and harvest agricultural products for domestic and export, especially to promote the recognition of the quality of our farmers' products on the international stage." He added: "Increasing exports not only increases income, but also increases employment, reduces migration and provides regular income to farmers to improve living standards. "This is will makes our nation prosperous."
Mr. HOUR Sreng said, “I do believe this cooperation will greatly contribute to boosting the agricultural sector in Cambodia and Cambodian farmers will receive sufficient funds or capital for market expansion, vegetable/animal husbandry in accordance with the standards and high quality that help their business and better livelihood." He added that either Hattha Bank or CS, were started with NGO status and although we are now become the private institutions, the spirit of improving the lives of the people as well as Cambodia still properly maintain.
