Mr. Min Sopha is a professional banker who has been highly successful in Cambodia's banking and financial sector. He has held leadership roles in leading Cambodian and international banks for over 20 years. He has extensive experience and expertise in various areas, including planning and managing operations, branch distribution networks, corporate, commercial, and SME banking, as well as consumer business development. Mr. Min Sopha holds an MBA degree from Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia, complementing his extensive practical experience across the financial services industry.
Mr. Wee Mun Seng joined Hattha Bank in August 2023 as Deputy Chief Executive Officer. He has brought in diverse professional experiences in banking and finance industry for more than 30 years. Prior to joining Hattha Bank, Mr. Wee Mun Seng held leadership position as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Amret MFI (Cambodia), Chef Executive Officer (CEO) at FINX Capital (Malaysia), ASEAN Business Consultant at Digital Finance International (Malaysia), Retail Banking Director at Al Rajhi Islamic Bank (Malaysia), Chief Operation Officer (COO) - Group Branch Network at Hong Leong Bank (Malaysia), And other various senior positions over his career. Mr. Wee Mun Seng holds Bachelors’ degree majoring in Finance & Marketing and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Southeast Missouri State University, USA.
Mr. Shinya Takahashi joined Hattha Bank as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in May 2024, bringing extensive banking experience. Over his career, he has held key leadership roles, including Co-Director of the Multinational Corporations and International Fund Center at Vietin Bank Ltd. in Vietnam, Director and Head of Strategic Planning at MUFG Bank Ltd. in the Philippines, and various VP and Manager positions at MUFG Bank and Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ in Japan and the USA. Mr. Takahashi holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Keio University in Tokyo
Mr. Chansovichea joined Hattha Bank in 2017 and has been assigned as Chief Operations Officer, effective December, 2024. He was previously appointed as Chief Sale and Distribution Officer in 2018 at Hattha Bank. With over 20 years of experience across various banks in different fields, Mr. Chansovichea brings a wealth of knowledge in banking, having worked in business development, operations, risk management, fraud management, compliance, and branch operations. He holds an MBA in Finance and a BA in Hospitality and Tourism.
Mr. Thorninn has been appointed as Chief Sale and Distribution Officer at Hattha Bank, effective November, 2024. He brings a wealth of dynamic experience in banking, insurance, microfinance, and the private sector, where he has consistently demonstrated strong managerial and leadership skills, particularly in sales and distribution, business development, digital banking, and operations. Prior to joining Hattha Bank, Mr. Thorninn held key senior management positions in both the banking and insurance sectors. Academically, he holds two master's degrees: one in Risk Management in Finance, Banking, and Insurance from University de Nante, and an MBA in Business Management.
Mr. Vol was appointed to be Chief Internal Audit Officer in 2015, after starting his career at Hattha Bank in 2008. He had more than 9 years’ experience in the field of internal audit and branch management, and more than 11 years in managing internal audit function. He earned his Master’s degree from Preston University after being awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the Maharishi Vedic University in 1998.
Mr. Vibol joined Hattha Bank in Jun 2018 as EVP& Chief Finance Officer. With more than 19-year experiences in microfinance and banking sector, Vibol held many senior positions in audit, accounting and finance and he became Chief Finance Officer in one large microfinance institution. He also has hands on experience in Core Banking System conversion project. With an outstanding academic background, Mr. Vibol obtained Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 2002 followed by his master’s degree in Finance and Accounting in 2005. In 2017, he graduated with ACCA qualification and became a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK in February 2018. In addition to that, he has attended many courses related to bank and microfinance at both national and international level.
Mr. Chanborath was appointed as EVP & Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary on April 01, 2018. He joined Hattha Bank as VP & Head of Legal Department and Company Secretariat in 2011. He gained solid working experience in legal practice in banking, financing and corporate secretary. Prior to joining Hattha Bank, he was seconded by a leading commercial bank to Lao PDR for setting up and run one commercial bank. Borath’s education comprises of Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees of Private Law from the Royal University of Law and Economics.
Mr. Souphoan joined Hattha Bank as VP & Head of Human Resources Department in December 2010. He has 30 years’ experience working in different sectors, including a twenty-year track record of human resource management, organization development, human resources planning and leadership development. Souphoan holds a Masters of Business Administration in Leadership Development from Eastern University, Philadelphia, the USA, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Law from Norton University. He has been promoted to be EVP & Chief Human Resource Officer in 2019.
Mr. Tithya joined Hattha Bank in September 2017 as VP & Sr. Director of IT Planning & Governance and was promoted to be EVP and Chief IT Officer in June 2018. In September 2022, he was appointed to be EVP and Chief of Digital Officer. His role is to provide managerial oversight for technology strategic planning, project management and technology governance for Hattha Bank. He also provides consultation and guidance to IT Division, develops strategic plans, provides project planning and oversight, and develops and manages the Enterprise Architecture practice. He has more than 16 years’ experience in the various international commercial banks as Head of IT and in Telecommunication Company as a software developer. He has extensive handon experience in handling system and server administration, core banking system, various software applications, information security, and having very good knowledge of IT governance and framework such as COBIT 5, ITIL v3, PMBOK, and currently is pursuing for the professional security certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CGEIT. He holds a Bachelor of Technology (Hons) Information and Communication Technology from Unitisiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia.
Mr. Lina was appointed as EVP & Chief Credit Collection Officer in 2024, after starting his career at Hattha Bank in March 2005. He oversaw Hattha Bank’s business operations including credit & deposit operations and branch management. He was appointed as Chief Underwriting in 2018 for managing the critical functions including credit underwriting, late loan collection and credit admin functions. Lina graduated from the National Institution of Management in 2003; and has also participated in numerous practical training programs conducted both locally and internationally, especially in the Philippines, Vietnam and Luxembourg.
Ms. Busaya Lawalkul joined Hattha Bank in May 2024 as Chief Risk Management Officer, bringing extensive banking experience in risk management. She has held key positions, including Director of Credit Risk & Strategic at AUTO X Co., SVP of Credit & Portfolio Risk Head at Citibank N.A. Thailand, and Risk Head roles at Citibank N.A. Thailand. Academically, Ms. Lawalkul holds a Master's in Economics from the National Institution of Development Administration and a Bachelor's in Economics from Ramkhamhaeng University, both in Bangkok.
Mr. Yuke Sutarat joined Hattha Bank in May 2024 as EVP and Chief Credit Underwriting Officer, bringing over 30 years of experience in Credit and Risk Management. He has held various senior leadership roles, including EVP of SME Credit Underwriting and Commercial Credit Analysis, SVP of Large and Medium SME Credit Risk and SME Credit Risk and Policy, and several VP to Officer 6 positions in Asset Quality Improvement. Academically, Mr. Sutarat holds a Bachelor's in Economics from Thammasat University and an MBA from Oklahoma City University.
Mr. Hout Sophearoth has recently been appointed as Head of Consumer Business Division-Acting at Hattha Bank. He has more than 13 years of working experience in the fields of bancassurance, card & e-payment, project management, product development, and business partnership. Mr. Sophearoth is one of the senior business executives who led and transformed Hattha Kaksekar Microfinance into a full-fledged commercial bank named Hattha Bank in Cambodia. Academically, Mr. Sophearoth holds dual master's degrees in law, economics, management, and social and solidarity economy from Lumière Lyon 2 University, French. He also holds a master's degree in Entrepreneurship and Project Management from the Royal University of Law and Economics in Cambodia. In addition to his formal education, Mr. Sophearoth has participated in many short courses outside of Cambodia, such as in Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Germany, Italy, and the USA.
Mr. Theng Virakyuth joined Hattha Bank in 2023 as VP and Head of the Project Management Office, specializing in Strategy Development, and now leads the Project Management and Transformation Division. He has spearheaded transformative projects across commercial and investment banking, such as converting an MFI into a commercial bank, establishing investment platforms, enhancing operational efficiency, supporting mergers and acquisitions, optimizing loan disbursement, developing new revenue channels, and leading fraud verification and data cleansing initiatives. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Iowa State University, an MBA with a focus on Finance, and Strategy from Harvard Business School. Additionally, he has earned international certifications in Digital Transformation, Project Management, and is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, underscoring his commitment to driving innovation, strategic growth, and business reengineering for enhanced efficiency.
