Hattha Bank Partners with Institute of Finance and Accounting (IFA) to Offer Exceptional Tuition Discounts and Enhance Professional Development

Phnom Penh, 16th August 2024 – Hattha Bank, a subsidiary of Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL), the fifth-largest commercial bank in Thailand and a member of the MUFG Global Financial Group, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Finance and Accounting (IFA), marking a significant collaboration aimed at providing educational discounts, financial support, and practical training opportunities to both companies.

As part of this collaboration, Hattha Bank’s customers and employees will benefit from exclusive tuition fee discounts up to 50% on most degree programs at IFA. Additionally, the MoU provides practical training and internship opportunities for IFA students at Hattha Bank, aimed at enhancing their practical skills and industry readiness, and bridging the gap between academic learning and professional working experience.

Mr. Min Sopha, President & CEO of Hattha Bank, said “This partnership reflects Hattha Bank’s ongoing commitment to enhance both professional and personal growth of employees and the general public.” He added “By working closely with IFA, we are not only providing financial support but also creating pathways for continuous learning and practical experience, which are crucial for success in today’s competitive environment. This is also in line with the government effort to continuously support the development of a knowledgeable society and community.”

Mr. Bun Sundrong, President of IFA, said "IFA was established in 2012 and currently has 53 partners, including Hattha Bank. The main goal of the institute in encouraging more partnerships is to foster mutual benefits, particularly concerning the professional job opportunities for students. This is an important aspect of promoting human resources to work in their areas of expertise. This year, the institute has revised all of IFA's curricula by integrating technologies such as AI, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Digital Banking, and Digital Assets. As of today, IFA and Hattha Bank have partnered to expand both their respective markets and develop additional skills for Hattha Bank's staff."

Therefore, this MoU is a testament to the shared vision of Hattha Bank and IFA in fostering educational excellence and professional development, ultimately contributing to the growth and success of the financial sector in Cambodia.
